We are currently looking to hire a Bartender to join our team in a luxurious Yacht Club combining an iconic 64m infinity edge swimming pool, restaurant and bar; fine dining restaurant and wine bar; nightclub; and a waterfront oasis beach bar.

In this role, you will be responsible for attentive and warm but efficient guest service while maximizing revenue and sales opportunities.

The position is expected to take and prepare orders directly from guests/members and from wait staff, serve food and beverages and process billing to guests and members at the PMYC venues or at events in Porto Montenegro village, and ensure a high quality of service and products are offered.

Position reports to: Pool Master/Restaurant Manager/Nightclub Manager

YOUR DAILY TASKS WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Warm and graciously welcome and serve guests and members to the PMYC Pool, Nightclub or Rooftop Restaurant, ensuring that orders are taken correctly and product standards are maintained;
  • Practice upselling and cross-selling to maximize revenue potential, seeking opportunities to deliver additional value and products;
  • Constantly obtain guest feedback during operation to ensure high guest satisfaction while taking ownership of guest complaints and communicate with supervisor for resolution;
  • Ensure hygiene standards and cleanliness is maintained in all front of house areas, and that any corrections are performed or communicated to senior management;
  • Maintain stock in the bar in line with FIFO procedures, using items close to expiring and discarding items, including garnish, no longer suitable for consumption. Stock close to expiring is to be communicated to management;
  • Follow opening and closing checklists to ensure venues are ready for operation and closed after working day in line with standards, including but not limited to ensuring proper cleanliness after closing and performing deep cleaning once per week;
  • Prepare, operate, close and break-down any temporary setups as part of events organized at the PMYC, Blue Room or other locations throughout Porto Montenegro as directed by management, in line with opening and closing checklists, hygiene standards and financial procedures;
  • Register and process any transactions in line with YCOM-XXX, ensuring proper accounting and fiscalization procedures are followed;
  • Communicate any deficiencies or problems to supervisor immediately for prompt resolution;
  • Ensure full knowledge of the menu, menu items and daily specials, for menus of all venues within PMYC;
  • Adhere to personal grooming and physical appearance standards, and ensures compliance with YCOM-101 House Rules;
  • Complete understanding and compliance with Montenegrin law pertaining to Safety and Health.

     

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in a five-star environment;
  2. Strong mixology and spirits knowledge. Previous experience in a cocktail bar is a plus;
  3. Excellent written and spoken English, additional languages are a plus;
  4. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and nurture relationships;
  5. Basic wine knowledge (Restaurant).
